About

Jim Kelleher has worked with a wide range of mediums from performance art, digital media, graphic design and of course, ceramics. An Alumni of G.M.I.T in Sculpture, he went on to graduate with a BA Hons degree from the University of Ulster, majoring in Sculpture & Lens based Media.

He completed the Ceramics & Pottery Design Course with the Craft Council of Ireland in 2004. The thrown pottery he produced as part of that programme were functional ware with mottled stone ware glazes. While Jim continues to throw ware it has now become more decorative in function.

He currently teaches in St. John’s Central College of Further Education. Jim has taught a wide range of Fetac modules from Ceramics, Sculpture, and Design Appreciation to Graphic Design and Information Technology Skills.

Jim currently runs evening leisure programmes for adults in Design and Ceramics. These courses run to start the autumn and spring seasons. Go to CSN for further information.
