The Society of Cork Potters celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year
The Lavit Gallery has worked with Society of Cork Potters to present an exhibition for Cork Craft Month. This exhibition showcases the craftmanship and creativity of work by society members. Exhibition runs from Friday 7th – Saturday 22nd August 2020. The Society is also delighted to be presenting their anniversary book, published to mark this momentous occasion, and it will also be available during the run of the exhibition.
As part of this anniversary celebration Etain Hickey, Catherine Ryan and Jim Kelleher gave an artist talk in the gallery on Friday 7th August to a limited audience in attendance. A recording of the artist talk can be viewed on the Lavit Gallery instagram page.
In this unprecedented of times we was quite conscious that many people may not be in a position to physically visit this show. While this would not have been done in the past, we are showing a selection of the work virtually here. Apologies if the photography is not ideal, but all work can be viewed by appointment and work can be purchased from the Lavit Gallery.
